Buckminster Beneficent | Seville, Apple & Onion Chutney
The village existed prior to the doomsday census 1086. Buckminster is the highest point in Leicestershire running diagonally to the Wash 37 miles away. As the name suggests it is likely that the village was or could have been the site for a Minster lying so close to the great north road, however no records exist of a Minster. The village today is a mix of red brick properties, together with other local materials such as Leicestershire Iron Stone and Ancaster stone, village life is centred around the large modern commercial and agricultural estate. In line with the areas agricultural diversity we have produced a very generous and flavoursome chutney with resounding Seville citrus resonance.
